Shambolic really. Oh well. No fifth day for Indore. Pretty sure the city will continue to appreciate test cricket for some time yet.

Yeah, I can't stand the fact that Guptill is still playing test cricket, but at least he's been up for it this innings.
Guptill is the kiwi Hafeez, without a a slip cordon for a big part of odi games he prospers and both are very good stroke players. None deserve a top order spot in their line ups.

This is a bit pathetic. The conviction from NZ that they were going to lose no matter what they did and the consequent "let the boys express themselves" brand of cricket is just rubbish.

Pretty gutless stuff from NZ. Ronchi aside, all the dismissals have been pretty terrible.

Say what you like about Baz as a captain, but under his leadership the team had a clear plan and direction. The NZ of today has nothing.
I was just thinking the same thing. His ultra-attacking ways post the win in Pakistan drove me round the bend at times ... but geez, it was never as bad as this. We've been miles off the pace in the last five tests, and I have to think there would have been a bit more fight under Brendon.

Surely, that has to be it for Gup. Right?
First test v Pakistan is November 17, so there's a little time for someone like Raval to score runs, or alternatively completely fail to score and hand Guptill back his spot.

Also that was out for Santner - how do our left-handers keep getting beaten by straight ones from the bowler coming round the wicket?

Tbf you haven't been that bad this series in general, its been certain passages of play that have sealed the game and undone all the good work. Also in general I've had the feeling that Nzl haven't been lucky enough over the past 18 months, against Australia and England both the result could've been very different imo.

Come on, let's not slander the name of the great Mohammad Hafeez. Good lord.

Also India have played incredibly well. In every aspect. Great batting, great bowling, great catching.

Not enough people giving the Indian side props for how they have played. They've been quite excellent.

Have a feeling England will put up more of a fight than us here, but have a sneaking suspicion Aus might get rolled especially after their performance in Sri Lanka.

There's that cavernous gap between bat pad again. Can't be too harsh on Santner, it's not his fault that things have turned out this way. But yeah, number 8 is where he should be staying for now.

Nah, they just lucked out by winning the toss 3 times.
