Pujara is so good scoring runs behind the wicket. Great at all variations of the sweep, fine, late, skilfull cuts and nudges which he makes look so easy. Just a monster test batsman.

The Kohli-Manjrekar-Shastri-BCCI conspiracy against him pisses me off to unreasonable levels. Hope he scores 10000 @ 55 averaging 10 more than Kohl and hope Shastri is still around in 10 years talking the same old **** about how Pujara needs to be more positive ( from a guy with a sr of about 23 in test cricket) about how he only averages 43 but if you ask the bowlers around the world, they'll tell you Kohli is the more dangerous player etc.

Why would you hope Pujara averages 10 more than Kohli? That's just a worse scenario for Indian cricket in every way. Fair enough if you're saying Poo man is averaging 65 or something, but wanting Kohli to not be an ATG just because is stooopid

Meh he is ranting against the Kohli-Shastri-Manjrekar axis. Wouldn't achieve the desired rhetorical impact if he says he wants Kohli to average 55.

Ffs jono, I did say I was unreasonably pissed off in the post atm, ofc I want Kohli to do well as a batsman but I'm coming off listening to Manjrekar patronising Pujara talking about how he was hoping Gambhir's positivity rubs off on him. Let me vent. :p

Can't one of you lads pay off some goons to beat up Sanjay in a dark alley somewhere? Will contribute if required.

This has been one of my favourite hundreds to watch from a stroke play POV.

At least 70% of his runs must have come behind the wicket with nary an edge. Majestic.
