More likely to be a T20/ODI option. Great eye, pretty significant leg side shoveller. Think Kippax labelled him the new Rob Nicol, which if you think about Rob's efforts at the last T20 World event he went to, is pretty bang on.

Tbf though, when wouldn't a poster like me be disparaging and dismissive of a bloke whose age group career hit its zenith with a 30 for CD U19, who's suddenly producing some glorious batting stats in this cruder, uglier phase we've had since the turf science recipe for 700 runs in a day was more or less mastered here in NZ

Whether we can win this dead rubber will be interesting and it will say something about the progress of this Indian side. :)

It'll show they can win in Indian conditions against terrible sides.

Real headliner.

But you'd secretly get a domestic boner if all FC cricket was played at EPOO and Pukekura Park, right? It'd make for a hell of a lot of fun. Maybe throw in Rangiora given it's harder to bat on the road you drive in on than the pitch you're headed to.

The 2nd test will be NZ's biggest regret of the tour imo. Was the most opposition friendly conditions we've seen in a while.

Yeah, our batting is just not good enough to take advantage against good sides at the moment. When we were more competitive a few years ago, we had 4 batsmen consistently producing runs (Taylor, KW, Baz and BJ). Now with Baz retired, KW sick and BJ and Ross busy being **** we just don't have the runs to give our bowlers a chance.

We're kinda in a similar situation to where we were when I started the doom and gloom thread in 2012 tbh.
