Hopefully Compton's in the dressing room tonight telling 'em to win or draw, if it ain't Middlesex it damn well ain't Yorkshire.

Yorkshire certainly favourites. Good chance they rollover Middlesex here - and even if they don't they'll have a declaration and runchase.

fmd Middlesex look to have given up. Yorkshire massive, massive favourites.
You do wonder wtf their much vaunted pacers were playing at this morning. Credit to Bres, but Yorkshire should never have come close to this position.

Lets just hope they have the balls to at least make a fight of it now.

Keith Barker has been so great this year. Very odd that he isn't one of the 4 PCA nominees. Nostalgia over Napier seems to have gotten there above him.

600 runs at 33 and 61 wickets at 22.9, deserves it even over Jeetan although taking into account his white ball exploits probably a very fair decision.

Yorkshire 120 ahead at Tea on Day 3. Four sessions, I reckon Middlesex will aim to bat until 45 mins before tea tomorrow, overcoming the deficit and setting somewhere around 200 in 40 overs.

There's gonna be a result unless it rains, isn't there?

Big job for the Middlesex management now. Looked like they put all their eggs in the defensive two draws strategy and the players look fairly devastated right now. But they still have a chance. They should just try and bat properly. Get 300 in the next 3 sessions and set Yorkshire around 180 in 30/35 overs. Gonna be tough though going from big favouries to outsiders - but the situation isn't quite as bad as it looks so they need to motivate and remind the players of such.

Yea so glad Finn is going to Bangladesh. More of his 80mph tripe will be just the ticket.

That extra 30-40 runs has really killed Middlesex, another 15-20 overs out of the game just for them to restore parity in terms of runs. I don't see how they can contrive anything here even if they manage to bat long enough. You're going to set what, like 150 off 50 overs?

All the pressure means is that both sides know they have to get a result and that a draw suits neither of them. I don't see how that pressure increases the chance of them actually drawing; it massively reduces it.
