Patel played the last of his test matches at 32 and finished up averaging 48, three more runs per wicket than the currently 23 year old Ish Sodhi. Who cares what he's accomplished in County Cricket, in all probability Sodhi would be doing damage in that too. I mean it's not like he didn't out bowl in him during the last domestic season.

Sodhi isn't good enough to be picked as an overseas in CC.

Speaking of Bavuma.. I knew little of him and I have to admit that I was worried he was picked for the wrong reasons. But he has been very impressive; I, particularly, like his mental fortitude. And he is only 26.. can still give many years of service to SA.

Think that considering Piedt came out last, last innings, might mean last batsmen... not going to put Steyn or Rabada in the line of fire.

Just checked Kruger van Wyk's height to compare with Bavuma, only to see cricinfo list Kruger at 1.19 meters or 3 foot 10 & Wikipedia have him at 1.47 meters or 4 foot 10. lol. I'm guessing van Wyk is really about 5'3 and this Bavuma doesn't look far off.
