*Official* Pakistan in England and Ireland 2016

Can't really expect anyone to see a minor sliver of contact on boot before batsmen middles it, but the ball looks like it is reversing a bit. Woakes can bring it back into right handers and away from left with reverse. Not sure he can go the opposite ways though.

England really on the money here. So good and disciplined since lunch and have been rewarded with a couple of wickets.

So the first time in years Younis has left Asia he has failed miserably. Needs to retire after this series. Finished.com.

Depends how many away tests they have in the next 2 years. If it just the 1 or 2 series and they have 4 or 5 in UAE then you keep him in.

Could save Hafeez as well. I wish more teams would change their batting line up depending on conditions like they do bowlers though. Why not play Hafeez at home but drop him away and put Ali opening + get an all rounder in at 7?

Its a very good question.

He is a beast in Asia.

Pakistan for the most part are travelling for the forseeable future, tours in NZ and Australia coming up.

They also have the West Indies, not sure where.. however Younis and Hafeez and any batsman for that matter won't have an issue where they play against them!

Alsam looks class though, seriously surprised, the numbers domestically not really there, but whoever picked him like Mendis of Lanka clearly knows his stuff.

Top call to pick him.

Great point. I get it with young kids cos you want to make them learn and improve. But at hafeez level there is no improvement. He is what he is

Does have a gun List A average though :p From my experience that tends to matter a bit more.

Pakistani FC wickets must be pretty dire, only the truly elite batsmen tend to average 50+ in Pakistani FC domestic.

Good point, but it's really hard to make such a strategy work convincingly. I don't think it's actually workable though it makes sense in cases like Hafeez, Gambhir etc.

One more wicket before tea and its 50/50.

Anyone else that would be an absurd statement, but with this tail.....

Top bowling this session from England though.

England are gonna win this game. I get the same feeling I got during day 5 of the first Test of India's tour in 2011 (remember being stuck in an airport and refreshing the scorecard desperately). They're just plugging away relentlessly.
