Yeah no doubt. I think it actually qualifies to be entered for CPL rankings which is slightly annoying because it's not on cricketarchive which means I'll need to do it manually.

I haven't followed his progress since he left Zimbabwean cricket a couple of years ago, but in youth cricket he was extremely highly rated as a talent. He was known for his pace as a bowler more than his control, movement or effectiveness but he kept the ZCF Howsies talking.. and as a batsman he was known as a massive hitter more than anything else. The sort of player who just screams potential to coaches as a kid, really.

People were divided over whether his batting or his bowling would end up his stronger suit, but he was a bit of a young Andy Blignaut when he bailed if that means anything to you. I believe he was batting five and opening the bowling for the national Under 17s team.
Has to be pretty galling for someone to choose Netherlands over Zimbabwe.

Pleased to see that Afghanistan are touring West Indies next year - do hope they give them a First Class match as well as the ODIs and T20s

Afghanistan making mincemeat of the Dutch batting. Would anyone consider their frontline Intercontinental cup bowling test quality?

Was a fairly cloudy and cold day, seamers must have had some help.

Might be a better seam attack than Sri Lanka though!

True. If hypothetcally they inserted say... the Windies on a seaming bouncy Sabina Park wicket, in a hypothetical test match would they be able to wreak havok the way a standard test quality attack would?

I didn't look too hard, tbf. Thought I'd give the expert googlers a task.

Should be an interesting couple of matches if the weather plays ball.

Stirling never really kicked on with his cricket career, did he. Been pottering about for the last few years.
Yeah I thought he'd entrenched in a County Championship side by now; instead he's moved down the order in the Ireland side. He's still only 25 but he's basically gone nowhere for years now.

Ireland post a challenging total of 316 first up after some struggles in their innings. Suspect This HK side's bowling may be its strength but happy to be proved wrong.
