Mark Reason to publish a column decrying Wagner's ''Bodyline tactics" in 3 . . . 2. . . 1.Zimbabwe making Neil Wagner look like Mitchell Johnson 2013/14.
Wagner on form always does this though.Wow. Zimbabwe have gone freaking crazy, playing Wagner like he's Lillee reborn.
I have a lot of time for Wagner. He is far from the most talented player but what he does, he does well.Wagner on form always does this though.
Haha that was such a classic example. The Raza 'back away to leg, expose your stumps and try to smear through point' thing is how he'll try to score all his runs, btw. It's surprisingly effective sometimes but it won't be good viewing.
Agreed, initially I thought he was out because how could the ball have gone that far without coming off the bat? But then I saw the replay, and even though it was a poor quality replay, it looked like he missed it completely. Speaking of replays, what's with the lack of 3rd umpires?William's stiffed there, but jeez he didn't look like a cricketers asshole that knock.
That was bizarre to watch. He is a middle order player not a frikkin' tailender.Haha that was such a classic example.
It might just be a symptom of a lack of high quality cricket in recent times for some of these guys. When the best fit seam bowlers in the country are supposedly Tiripano and Chinouya, you're not facing a lot of stuff like this, and they haven't played a Test in ages (or even ODIs against decent opposition in a while). Raza is Raza but the rest of them are usually better against the short ball than what they've shown here; I expected better from the batting tbh.Does no one bowl short in Zimbabwe or something?
Sad indictment of NZ bowlers if Wagner is our premier bowler. As much as I like the guy, Boult or Southee should really be leading in the average and SR departments.NZ's bowling last 3 years....
Wagner - dat SR
Would explain why Gerald Aliseni can jog in with a cheeseburger in his free hand and still get their forum on tenterhooks.Does no one bowl short in Zimbabwe or something?
