the **** are you talking aboutWell that didn't take long.
I'm just here for the likesI like you Howe but of late there have been some kinda odd comparisons/ examples in a few of your posts.
This was one of them.
It's relevant in the discussion as I haven't seen Aus curators prepare a day one pitch like that since. Is this because all 11 Aussies nicked off before Tea? One might suggest it is.Ah you must have missed it:
And why a single questionable instance from 6 years ago is not really relevant to a modern discussion should be self evident
Not domestically.I think some are switching cause and effect.
Australian pitches aren't prepared flat because it suits Aussie seamers. The Aussie seamers play well on flat pitches because that's all is ever produced in Australia.
for taking the attack to the opposition I suppose - a quickfire 40 could do wonders for SL's chances by denting confidence of Aus bowlersWhy was perera opening instead of karunaratne?
Are you saying that Australian Test surfaces are notably different from their first class matches? Not domestically.
yes absolutely, as i said before, if he comes off he does put a lot of pressure back on the opposition..Looks like that will be it for the day..for taking the attack to the opposition I suppose - a quickfire 40 could do wonders for SL's chances by denting confidence of Aus bowlers
Welcome Dan. That MCG wicket was left green because the Aussies had just ripped Eng a new one on a green wicket in Perth and they figured that was the way to beat us. The curator even changed the wicket that was intended for the boxing day test to another one that was well behind. The backfire was possibly the biggest LOL in recent memory. It's relevant in the discussion as I haven't seen Aus curators prepare a day one pitch like that since. Was intriguing to watch, like most inexperienced wrist spinners I'm sure he's capable of having a very bad day under harsher circumstances. Will need more to make decent judgements on his powers of concentration which would probably make or break him as a Test player.Thoughts on the chinaman? looked promising, might need some work on his radar
*sigh*Are you saying that Australian Test surfaces are notably different from their first class matches?
Could you be any more obviousWelcome Dan. That MCG wicket was left green because the Aussies had just ripped Eng a new one on a green wicket in Perth and they figured that was the way to beat us. But yeah, the Aussies don't ever mess with their wickets
But seriously learn from my mistakes here...........don't waste your time trying to explain this (or anything) to Jedi Brah. If you disagree with him you're just a moron.
I would like to claim my house + winnings pleaselost me here
seriously, I don't argue about things I'm wrong about. Because I don't know about things I'm wrong about, so I would freely admit my ignorance and defer to someone who does know about said things. If you find me genuinely "arguing" about something, you can bet your house it's not "incorrect"
What that Dan is my multi??Could you be any more obvious
