this is going to be a long day for the bowlers from the looks of it.

We'll have to see pak bat on it to pass a judgment on the wicket though

Lord's was good for batting in the 1st innings too. Pakistan has to bat better than they did there - especially the top 4. And don't forget Anderson.

It is already spinning quite a lot, having nightmares of facing Shah in 2nd dig. Apart from these two (and Woakes obviously) don't trust any of the rest of them against spin.

it's going to be much harder to bat better here. With stokes and woakes, and broad and Anderson its going to be tough scoring.

The key will be not to let Moeen settle by stepping out to him early, and to tire the pace bowlers out (specially when 2 are coming back from injury). The top 4 needs to take a lot more responsibility (no stupid shots from Hafeez like last time). It's tough, but that doesn't mean you stop trying.

of course they won't stop trying, by tough I mean that unfortunately the openers are not very talented. They just don't have the ability to stand up to high quality bowling for extended periods

He can crank it to 88-89 for a few overs, would say it is about fair enough. Ain't many consistent 90 mph guys in the world. His action also seems to bring him onto batsmen quicker than they expect.

Must be time for Mrs Shah to renew her prescription.

On a serious note Yasir still bowling smacks of 'well he took 10 at Lord's' in terms of logic.
