What is inaccurate or misleading about that headline?
If you read my post it said that headline was deliberately inflammatory.(which it is) and sole purpose was to try cause controversy... I then went on a rant regarding media headlines in general.

The reason it is controversial is it is deliberately inflammatory as click bait and adds nothing to the story.... he took 3 wickets in an excellent spell of bowling, that is the story, the additional description serves no purpose but to cause controversy Those people who know who he is, know what he did; something that has been judged and done with.... The fact it is truthful does not mean the reason for doing it is not wrong... If they want to talk about his spot fixing again and his ban, make a story about that.

Personally I`m tired of media deliberately creating controversy (which is barely short of trolling) and providing inaccurate and misleading headlines and articles (on cricket or anything else). I really would like that every-time a media outlet has to print a retraction for them to be forced put it on their front page as a huge headline saying, We ****ed up again because we could not bother to do our job properly... (end of rant...)
I am more than aware of media resorting to such tactics to get hits and 'likes' but had expected this more from the DailyMail/TimesofIndia crowd...expected better from BBC but oh well.

Amir just has to keep his head down and focus on the cricket. That's the beauty of sport...it's the one thing in the world where you can shut everyone up just with your performance and skill.

smali, any idea why Wahab isn't playing this game? Is it just a case of Pak giving other bowlers a go?
Misbah and co want a right armer in the Xi. So the contest is between Wahab and Rahat for the second seamer's spot and Imran and Sohail for the third seamer's spot.

There is one more game against Sussex..expect Wahab, Imran and Zulfi to play in that.

the british press in unmerciful on anyone who commits such offences. be it drug cheats, match fixers, spot fixers. get used to it.

...unless said offenders sell them a suitably good redemption story and some inside scoops on the next guy to step out of line.

And so the circle continues.

128 all out vs international team, Trescothick out cheaply vs Amir but other hero's sterling 47 not out saved Somerset from total humiliation.
2006 t20 game vs SL Trescothick out just before 20th over at Rose Bowl, I hopes he help Somerset today to save from yasir and Amir.

Fine knocks from AZHER 50*
YUNIS 104
MASOOD 62 and 29

2006 trescothick scored 72 but England lost by 2 runs at rose bowl.

And this particular match fixing, spot fixing, monster of a cheat is unmerciful on most batsmen..so he is going to play a lot of cricket and get a lot of wickets. Get used to it.

Glad to see most Pak batsmen get some time in the middle except for Misbah and Hafeez. Still don't understand the declaration though. Would have liked Azhar and Shafiq to get some more time in the middle.

Confidence?... if they can bowl Somerset out cheaply again., will be good moral booster.

Did you copy that straight from PakPassion?
He was only employing the same unhelpful 'get used to it' attitude that you were, not that it makes the retort much better.

Great to see the word triggering can now be used as a catch all for any instance of someone airing a legitimate gripe. Alse great to see the England-Pakistan thread off to a great start.

Good to see Sohail Khan bowl well yesterday. There have been some question marks over his performance and fitness in the longer version and so far he looks fitter.
