what makes you say that?

1.03 says otherwise to me.

Like the look of him tbh.
The initial movements across the crease, and then the way he brings the bat down from high outside off across himself towards the onside. As evidenced by his angled bat defense first ball, where he's playing from off to leg despite the ball being outside off. Commensurate with that, looks set up to hit lovely on-drives from off-stump (a couple around 20 seconds) but you have to worry about the lbw with the straighter ones.

Still looks a good player though.

Well, there might be nothing KW would like more than bringing on a guy he grew up with who's also had Simon Doull types in his ear, saying he's a bit too goody-good and chaste to ever make the big modern coin.

Lol at Easts in the Wellington club T20 semi final. Needing 30 runs to win off 7 overs with 8 wickets remaining, they were bowled out 6 runs shy of the target. Couldn't happen to a nicer team.

Very interesting that Matt Salisbury was batting 4 for Petone. Former Essex #9/10, I presume. I know he was playing club cricket in Wellington somewhere, can't be the most common name.

Yeah it's the same guy according to cricketarchive.

Petone games are at the bottom.

I'm a bit surprised he was batting four in the most recent game though; he seems to have spent the 2015 portion of the season batting 7/8 and scoring no runs.

16 year old Finn Allen getting a 100 for Auckland A. Would be nice if he turns out to be the real deal in a few years time.
What did people think of him in the televised game v India A. I found it hard to judge, him and Leopard counter attacked at nothing for 4, but it all seemed a bit Hail Mary with sheepish looks.

More important news from an immediate future POV is that Randell picked up a 5-fer. Really hope he gets a couple of games before the end of the season.

That's impressive and exciting. F Allen did score consistently in the world cup. Looks like a very good middle order bat. He can only improve from now. Glad to see these lads given a chance to turn out of A side.
