Disagree with 9 for Voges. Going by Runs at First Dismissal Voges scored about 10, 60 and 10*. That's an average of 40. Good, but properly worth a 5 or 6.

Anyone think Mark Craig should try and do a Mark Richardson and convert to opener? He has a higher career batting average than Stephen Fleming and that has to count for something.
No different to a dropped catch in my view; he went on and made 200 for his side at a point that the match was reasonably poised had he not kicked on.
huh

does this mean Jord isn't a kiwiviktor multi?

Interesting that Smith is getting reprimanded for this yet Mahela got away with swearing his head off very clearly during that Vettori LBW decision a couple of summers back.
nah Australians are horrible evil sportsmen and have to be punished. If anyone else does it it's fine because they're good sportsmen.

The amount of credit McCaw gets really makes me laugh, it's similar to the Steve Waugh captaincy run in my view.

You had a team that had the #1 player in almost every single position that won almost every match they play. It doesn't take an amazing leader to run that side and the All Blacks won't see a massive drop.

McCullum took a band of creatures that had been the whipping boys in World Cricket for many a season post the retirement of Vettori (and even pre Vettori's retirement) and turned them into a side that achieved a number of "first time ever" performances. If anything, McCaw should be looking to McCullum for leadership advice.

Did NZ achieve any "first time ever" performances of any value though. What were some of these performances.

Haha, Mark Reason's at it again! Now he's suggesting - based on absolutely nothing of course - that one of the reasons why Bond left the NZ bowling coach position was because he didn't like Brendon McCullum.
I was wondering where that came from. Is it because McCullum dropped a catch off Bond in the 2003 World Cup?

I think it's to do with the fact that Bond disagreed with Hesson's account of the captaincy-changeover affair.

The batting must have seen the biggest ratio of centuries to matches in history over the last few years. A monumental improvement there (until this year's tests, anyway).
