***Official*** Australia in New Zealand 2016

I prefer how suggests that if the ball was swinging and moving more then the NZ batsmen would have done much better, like the wicket is to flat for the NZ batsmen and that's why they are getting out.
Jesus ****en Christ did he say that?

How's the bowling been this morning fellas? Anything going past the bat or looking comfortable out there for the Aussies?

One missed chance from Boult when the keeper didn't go for it, a couple of plays and misses against Wagner's bouncing attack but otherwise pretty grim.

All the runs were made on roads and missed out on the only sporting pitch. Carry on being wrong
Lol runs scored by Australian batsmen don't count because they're on roads but when other batsmen make the runs on the same pitches they're worth extra

strong logic

Wagner's caused Burns a fair few problems, but he's stuck in there. Very little from the others aside from that semi-chance.

LOL, Eden Park 2015. Boult when he wasn't injured and savagely underprepared.
So the only reason NZ aren't as good as Australia or the best in the world is because all their players aren't in 100% form & fitness & luck all & playing in ideal conditions for each one all at the same time? That seems to be what you've been saying.

Seven of the side have had injuries in the lead up or during the series. All seven would be considered core players for New Zealand. So yes. It takes a stubborn pig headed person to say any differently, just as it takes a stubborn pig headed person to say that the toss didn't have a huge part to play in the series either.

where are NZ fans picking santner when he comes back? can definitely see the benefits of playing him at 8 in the moeen ali type role so as to accomodate anderson but for me there's to much potential in his batting to have him wasting his time batting with southee and co

Watling to 6, Santner to 7, Henry at 8 until Henry unselects himself through his play, then maybe Milne to 8.

While we're talking about injuries; imagine Starc bowling on the day 1 wicket first test? If he'd gotten it in the right areas New Zealand would have scored about 12.

I wouldn't even have Southee in the side any more.

6. Anderson
7. Watling
8. Santner
9. Henry
10. Wagner
11. Boult

Can't say I had high hopes for today, but we're looking so toothless.
It's just sad. I don't want to take anything away from Australia, but I really do think we've massively underperformed. Weaker NZ sides than this have put up more of a fight.

Ooh, the small consolation of a wicket.

Starc is a swing bowler, Patto is actually a better bowler in these conditions than he is. Starc would have been dangerous and challenging, no doubt, but if the ball doesn't swing, he's not much chop either.
