The thing with Southee is that he could be much better than this; that's why people get so annoyed. For Henry and (particularly) Boult trying to hit intermittent boundaries makes sense but Southee has the talent to be a proper #8 and he's never bothered with it.

All we're gonna learn from this is that Southee & Boult are still busted flushes and Henry isn't a 3rd seamer. But we already knew that. It would be nice to be a little bit further along the Henry judging process.

Man our domestic system must be terrible if we don't have better players than Guptill, Nicolls and Southee out there. Southee would be nowhere near an Australian side. I can't see the Aussies persisting with someone who has average close to 40 over a year either.
