In the last three years:
Wagner 15 matches 62 wickets 30.48 average 3.41 econ
Bracewell 10 matches 23 wickets 50.39 average 3.44 econ

And can we dispel the myth that Bracewell is the guy to keep things tight, while Wagner leaks runs?
Do Boult and Southee even average 4 wickets per match in that time? Even if Wagner is mainly getting lower order/tail enders out that's important too.

IMO it's a fitness issue. Can't seem to maintain his technique after about 80 deliveries.
Yet appeared to do it with relative ease in the UAE which would have been physically tougher conditions. Is he looking more podgy in recent times? I hadn't noticed.

Yeah they pretty much both do. Southee with 106 wickets in 26 games and Boult with 100 in the same number.

Well with the UAE he was dropped on about 40, and had a lucky LBW turned down at around the same time in the next innings. Needs to have that lunch break come at the right time.

I am sticking to the fitness thing because while his technique is not absolutely perfect, it's pretty decent. But it noticeable deteriorates the longer he plays.

Doull promoting 3rd-umpire to call no-balls or automated system. Also saw an article on cricinfo about it - maybe this will finally get some momentum .

Microchip in a boot obviously a rubbish way to do it though.

His 80 at Headingly was extraordinarily schizophrenic. Looked a million bucks throughout the first session, then sometime after tea he metamorphised into a left handed Chris Martin.

That's great, if they get support from Wagner or someone else also averaging 30ish and 4 wkpm that's a really strong attack if Anderson can perform like Stokes has for England recently, infact NZ and England's attack are incredibly similar with Boult and Southee as Jimmy and Broad and Corey and Stokes big hitting all-rounder's, Santner and Ali spinners with very good batting ability and Milne/Henry similar to Wood.

Martin this is probably the best chance you'll ever get to score a test century against Australia - don't give it away.

Think that's expecting a bit too much. Stokes a vastly superior bowler , and I don't think Anderson is ever going to be better than a handy 5th bowler as opposed to the genuine bowling allrounder that Stokes is.

He's clearly been reading Blocky's advice on GP, and is trying to bring his ODI gameplan to a test match situation.

Agree. Can England just give Stokes back to NZ plz?

There's certainly some similarities between the sides, though NZ also has no-one with the ability to extract bounce and seam like Broad can.
