Some fun hitting by the tail but all in all and absolute ****-show against good bowling (barring Bird). I'd hoped we'd somehow bat past tea; giving Australia an entire session instead removes any potential awkwardness - they have a lot to gain and can all-but win the match by avoiding tripping up in the remainder of today.

Craig the top scorer and NZ finish on 183! Everything's coming up Bahnz!
Haha I reckon half of this thread probably took the Craig bet.

I cashed out reasonably early and made less than I should have because I suck, but most of the CW betters would've profited off that I think.

Perfectly according to script for Australia. Win toss, utilize first session conditions, and bat when the pitch starts to flatten out. Aided though by New Zealand's blunders.

Terrific from Hazlewood, he looks to be major thorn in NZ's side. Siddle and Lyon usual selves and good enough to cover for Bird.

Yup, NZ's only hope is to be ruthless and relentless and not give Aust anything for nothing.

The one somewhat bright spark from this innings was Corey's effort; contrast it with two years ago at the Basin against India when he simply looked to hit his way out of trouble. Crap dismissal but showed the top five what they were expected to do.

It was mildly impressive - if he goes on to better things in subsequent test matches then it might be seen as an innings that gave him some confidence in his method, however I'm not getting too excited as yet.

In all seriousness, good to see Craig actually build on a start rather than casually throw it away like he did repeatedly in Australia.

lol

I backed Southee to get Burns... with an outswinger edged while defending to the slips. Rubbish ball but we'll take it.

Lol just when I was about to curse about Southee bowling 3 loose innocuous deliveries up front.
