My biggest problem with this was it just wasn't out. Honestly reckon that's an absolute stinker from the 3rd umpire.

Suggest Shimron Hetmyer googles "paul collingwood poor sportsmanship". He may then realise that he's probably lost his chance of captaincy at higher levels. Although with the current WI administration who knows ...

I agree. If Holder can captain a Test team then even Hetmyer shouldn't be hopeless

Doesn't the bat have to be grounded AND inside the crease for it to be not out? From what I saw, the bat was in the air.

His bat was on the line when the bails were completely off
yeah that's one law they might look at fixing, as Bahnz mentioned. The fact that the batsman is moving in the reverse direction to a normal run-out should afford some different application.

TBH I think all runout laws should be changed so that it's as soon as the ball/hand holding the ball makes contact with the wickets. It's way too hard to tell the exact moment the bail is completely off the stumps.

No problem with them doing it, just thought they celebrated like a treehouse of *****, little humility

Pretty appalled.

My opinion of Mankading is similar to most people, I'd imagine. Have no problem with it as long as there is a warning first. I had no sympathy for Jos Buttler. I am aware this is not a particularly rational argument.

There was no attempt at a warning in this case. The bowler has robbed the people at the ground, and those watching on TV, of an exciting finish to a keenly contested match. He has also robbed his teammates and himself of the chance to know whether they could have pulled off a win without Mankading, even if they don't realise that yet. And the way they celebrated was immature but I suppose you can't expect much more of U19s.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe should have won without needing a last wicket stand.
