Haha, Leopard is everything nzfan promised he'd be. In fact the description may've insulted the young Corey Anderson.

Tuned in at lunch and then the collapse started. To be fair I still think Ravindra is going to be a gun. He crunched a few drives right off the middle. Probably got a bit carried away wanting to up the run rate but boy he looked the best batsman for the time he lasted. He didn't look troubled with the pace and had lots of time to play the ball. You can imagine when he's about 18 where his skills would be that is if he continues to bust his gut.

Leopard as I said will continue to impress with his unique style of batting.

If this u19 team can contribute 2-3 good players to the national team in the long run the job is done. Honestly no one gives a toss about winning the cup including Rahul Dravid.

Zac Gibson and Rachin Ravindra? Any good? Just reading cricinfo looks like Ravindra bowled at the death?

Zibson pretty much just muscles the ball down. Gets good lift and seemed to hurry the indian batsmen. Very raw at this stage.

Yeah Zibson's alright, but why did Howsie's mate have to pump him up as the country's next 150 pacer?

Other than the fact it was ND locker room conversation and that's what you do to make a sale, obvs.

According to Russel Arnold, it's Sears who's the greyhound in the NZ camp. He reckons Sears is just about the quickest in the comp.

Can't expect our guys to compete with sub-continent sides, and good ones at that with IPL experience (yes no?) in their side and in their conditions. Good learning experience if nothing else

Yes, I saw someone called Kris commented on cricinfo that we can expect to see a lot more of Leopard, includling in IPL. Didn't see the game but wonder if Clarkson's injury that prevented him from bowling affected his batting? One of the few highlights from the NZ batting was from 16 yr old Allen.

Ahmed to Allen, FOUR, superb shot that is from Allen. Terrific timing. Short delivery on off, Allen gets into position early and then rockets the pull in the gap at midwicket. Sensational batting
