It was noticeable how many of ND's future seamers will be berated by Howsie for their pedestrian speeds, I felt. Zak Gibson and possibly Cooper Rowell really better pan out well for him.
Howsie might have to defect to Canterbury to get his pace fix - just throw his lot in behind Nuttall and friends.

Kurtley Watson unfortunately seems to be more in the Willie Watson mold, forshor.

I like the look of Jordi Barrett.

I'm gonna say .... With the risk of never having seen any if Z Gibson it Ter Braak ... But seem some promising but erratic Sears - and only seen very very little of Barrett ..,,, That maybe he would have been a better fit for this World Cup.

But it's debatable if that's really the purpose anyway. It's amazing experience for guys identified as having potential to step up. If the selectors see higher ceilings in others then so be it.

Howsie's already expressed some admiration for Kyle Jamieson and his Garner-esque stature. But I reckon he's more likely to be crossing his fingers for an Anderson style ND conversion.

Milne the latest the join the Kiwi invasion of county cricket. He's off to drop Jaegar bombs with Jesse at Essex.

Is that Adam "body probably not going to hold up to the workload of the longer format" Milne?

Because if he's playing CC then a call-up to the Test side must now be a realistic possibility.

Assume it's t20 only. If Jesse is the single overseas pro ( for full season).

Poor new ball pitch map from Jamieson really.

Nuttall needed a bit more shape to be an lbw threat. 133-135kph on the cheapskate Sky domestic gun.

Young's strokeplay is so easy on the eye.

Heh @ the guy in the crowd sledging Astle.

Nuttall is a dead ringer for Kyle Mills.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
^I honestly thought Mills was bowling when I turned the TV on. Massive double take.

**** Ellis' action is so dirty - much like everything he does.

Reckon this puts Worker back into internationals frame?

Haha gun take by Fletcher but no one cares.

Meanwhile Young 50 off 30 doesn't make him a bad shout to bat 6 in the ODI side.

God this is shaping up to be one of the worst overs I've ever seen and it's only 3 (1 legit) balls in.

edit: wd4wd4 with 4 to go

edit x 2: wd 4 wd 4 6 6

Not Terrible
Van Beek is such a spud.

This is the best ground in the world.

Gayle, Warner and Guptill could genuinely push for 200 in a T20 here.
