Should I pick Ben Stokes or Kyle Abbott? I have two pacers till now in McKenzie and Benjamin + Kallis. Batting is relatively strong, so it's not a concern as such, but it's always nice to have Stokes at 7.

Nice, deep batting. Top 4 is good and solid.

Billy Gunn has 25000 runs and 48 hundreds in FC @ 33.02 in the 1880s and 90s. Wisden says "As a batsman he represented the orthodox -one might even say the classic - school at its best. With his perfectly straight bat and beautifully finished style, he was a model to be copied." Not looked upon unfavorably in the company of Shrewsburry and Stoddart, and sometimes bettering their season record. He played many a fine innings for Notts. Most notable innings being 228 against Turner and Ferris at Lord's and 58 against Lohmann and Lockwood on a minefield at the Oval.

Board had 6 seasons of 1000+ runs as well (in county) along with his keeping chops.

Pace spearheads in McKenzie and Benjamin. Spin of Gupte, and Faulkner. Ben Stokes to shoulder more responsibility and Jacques Kallis as the fourth pace option.

Steyn hasn't played a test this year, so I figured I could pick a 2015 debutant in Adam Voges. If not, and I need to go back to the 1880s, I pick Andrew Stoddart.
