Guess I'll hit up a pub if I have time then.It won't be.
Since 2010/2011 seasonDifficult to say for certain, since we've only had two tours in Asia since the team turned a corner back in 2012: 1-1 in SRL and 1-1 in UAE. But yeah, KW's excellence and McCullum's ability to gun it on flat surfaces against overawed bowlers, combined with the swing bowlers' ability to take the pitch out of the equation (for the first 20 overs at least) has meant that the team is reasonably suited to those conditions.
Still haunted by both of these. In 2010 we managed to let Harbhajan score 100 when India were 6-65 to rob ourselves a rare 1-0 lead after the first match in an away tour. Chris Martin absolutely devastated them on a road in the 2nd innings and we came SO close to breaking the back. Only Zaheer, Ojha and Sreesanth to follow at that point.
2nd match had a masterclass McIntosh hundred and McCullum getting a double. Was a road, any chance we had of pushing India here was ruined when Harby scored yet another hundred.
Yep.Phantom walloping Johnson (and Harbhajan I think) evens it out though
Copeland is probably the better comparison, but yeah they dump anyone lacking pace pretty quick. They got rid of Clark on the early side too.Has gilly ever kept up to the stumps to Mc Grath? I bet he has. At Sayers pace though you need to be able to move the ball both ways and be accurate to be successful in test. He is a chance then of succeeding ( if he gets a game). I just get the feeling though that selectors are just like fans here and 130 k bowlers must do exceptional things early on to remain in the team, or else the minute they struggle it is because they're not fast enough. Consequently if he does make the team, unless he takes bags of wickets earlier on he won't survive.Remember Bird who is faster than Sayers but still not very fast and how quickly he wasdropped. Glad he is back though.
Compares favorably with Australia,Since 2010/2011 season
in India lost 1-0 (3) (2010)
in India lost 2-0 (2) (2012)
in SL drawn 1-1 (2)
in Bangladesh drawn 0-0 (2)
in UAE drawn 1-1 (2)
Jack Russell I suspect. Now there was a keeper...Fair dues. Don't know who I'm thinking of then.
I think 2010-11 was in general a really really low point for NZ cricket, it also included 0-4 in BD (ODIs)australians think they hurt nz fans last year
nah
you are nothing, nothing compared to what harbhajan singh has done to us.
you'll never guess the indian fast bowler who decimated us in the third test.
I don't think it is being assumed by anyoneWhy is it being assumed that the reason there are no warm ups is because NZ declined to provide them?
