I will be absolutely amazed if that bloke is ever a good test match opener. So, so loose. What an awful shot. He is as bad a opener as I've ever seen.

As bad a ball I can remember us bowling.

He will get the next innings I assume and that will be that no matter if they win lose or draw. He isn't an opener, maybe he can come back as a middle order bat.

Stokes is very much a momentum player. I saw him in the West Indies. Was grimacing all the time. Was not looking like he was enjoying it and was not performing well. Now he is justifying his talent. Looks to be in terrific form. Has been bowling well. Looks completely involved in the game, through the series. If I was the captain I would like to hope Stokes is pumped to play and in great spirits for the game as then I know I will get terrific contributions from him. He is too talented for it not to happen.

3rd edge of the morning getting nowhere near the slips though. Don't think this pitch is as bouncy as advertised.

Yeah some balls are taking off from Finn, it isn't slow or low by any means but when SA pick four seamers I also expected it to be quicker/bouncier than it is.

Much better over. There is plenty in this pitch if you find the right length, just feel like we've been largely all over the place.
