Yes. Doesn't want to go full blockathon though. If they score at 3 an over this game is safe by about tea.

Yes a lot of us were saying go to 700 as frankly there was time in the game. Most teams would only have been at 450-500 at that stage. The declaration was more based on the apparent form of the opposing team at the time and as you say the fact that Cook assuming we wouldn't shell 8 chances.

The run rate for a chase is about 2 if they were all out now but that is going to start climbing quickly.
