Didn't you argue in the other thread that 232* is 232* in the scorebook irrespective?Absolute road though, just filling his boots on bad bowling on a road, but good luck to him.

Pitch isn't that bad. It's no minefield, but there's enough bounce to keep the bowlers in the game.Absolute road though, just filling his boots on bad bowling on a road, but good luck to him.
Mostly because the umpires aren't calling wides.Van Zyl just casually going at two and a half an over and wondering why everyone else is struggling with economy.
"It's just around the corner maybe 600"Oh good, the commentators are banging on about a declaration.
I don't know, there has been good bounce and carry and a touch of lateral movement. Bad bowling, yes. Great batting, yes.Absolute road though, just filling his boots on bad bowling on a road, but good luck to him.
It's complete bs, isn't it.Oh good, the commentators are banging on about a declaration.

If England can keep it full then there shouldn't be much problem taking 20 wickets. If they bowl as many short balls we'll give the Saffers a chance of a great escape.
England have been caught out before. WI batter 150 overs against us last year (the longest the Windies have batted in 80 years). It's complete bs, isn't it.
I wouldn't even think about a declaration unless we're still batting half an hour or so after tea, of if Anderson and Finn are at the wicket together.
At the rate England are scoring, Cook could let them rack up 750+ and still have plenty of time to not enforce the follow on. It's Day 2!England have been caught out before. WI batter 150 overs against us last year (the longest the Windies have batted in 80 years).
I think any more than 650 is excessive because Cook will want the option to not force the follow on.
