How'd Morris get a bowl before Rabada today? Amazing from Stokes, happy that this innings will stop the calls for him to be dropped. Surely he's like 5th or 6th pick each game.
It was only Pratters that thought he should be dropped really

Stokes isn't/won't be quite as popular on here as he is amongst most England fans, but he'd pretty much proved himself in the summer. Don't think many, if any, wanted him dropped.

Yeah, Lords test against New Zealand made me a total convert.

Same here. Thought he should have gone to World cup (given his form the previous winter down under) and was lucky to get place for WI series. Glad we stuck with him and we need to accept he will probably fail in some parts of the world while he adapts his game.

Biggest compliment you can give him is Botham and Flintoff couldn't do better than this.

Remember when people were worried about the scoring rate. Over 4, and climbing, with not an over expected to be lost for the weather.

Even makaya ntini is saying south africa looks like they have no plan or leadership at all today... The only plan today was to go out and bowl.

Would've been interesting to see what would've happened had Woakes not got injured and missed that and the NZ series.

50% short this morning, what are they actually trying to do?
Though I have no idea what Amla is trying to do, and while not being impressed by his captaincy, I really couldn't think of good advice for him either, at this point.

Resign?

Seriously though, given they have about half a dozen bowlers in the backroom team they should have better plans than this.
