Maybe I'm alone but the rope is in way to far for my liking.
Probably about 2.5 - 3m in where we're sitting.

Burgeinho a very interested spectator on the size of the boundaries as he's meant to be playing here in February.

Edit: a long way in at either end in front of the sight screen though.

The ends look really bad. The extra advertising banners are partially to blame.

It doesn't matter what's turned out when Pakistan tours Australia. They turn into this West Indies team standard when they come here, like Australia does when it goes to the UAE.
Australia have only lost 2 of the four tests they have played in the UAE.

The last two. Australia is awful away from home ATM because the batting isn't what it was, which is understandable because from about 93 until 08 they had a ridiculously strong line up.

The windies have had a decent couple of days after a horrendous start. One wonders wether the aussies not giving them a decent chance to acclamatise, might be why they were so bad in the beginning

Haha this is the kind of pitch where Ashwin and Jadeja can restrict any side below 250 (except maybe Pakistan).

Eh, even those decent couple of days have mostly been Bravo and Brathwaite, which is not really a surprise to anyone. The bowling hasn't improved at all.

He was good on Foxtel too. Perfect example of Nine giving someone a ridiculous role that us cricket tragics don't appreciate.

I don't think we can blame that for this though. That was just classic Slater awkwardness haha.
I'll just leave this here...

Today’s TV ratings will be more hard-fought than the contests on the MCG. The Boxing Day Test is on Nine from 10.30am. The BBL match between Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat is on Ten from 7.10pm. Crawley freely admitted the BBL was a tremendous success and a boon for cricket. But he outright rejected that Ten’s commentary team were talking with greater effectiveness and appeal than his own.

“I reckon Slats (Michael Slater) and Heals (Ian Healy) and Warnie would eat them for breakfast,” Crawley said. “What they’re all doing is entirely different. You can’t call a Test match like you call Perth versus Hobart. Slats is the most exciting caller in cricket. Those guys on Ten aren’t calling the moment. They have a caller there with them. They do the extra commentary. Slats will lead a commentary team. I’d back Michael Slater against anyone, in any form of cricket, anywhere in the world, as the leader of the pack.”
