Well this certainly turned out to be true, he is great and also a bit mental, pretty much just charges about all over the place.

You see his goal today?
Tis working out for everyone, then. :) Enjoy him for the rest of the season!

It seems quite fitting that the two not so mighty Reds are in no-man's-land sandwiched between Crystal Palace and West Ham and separated only by goal difference heading into the New Year.

I have to admit to having no idea how Fantasy Football Teams work (and can't be arsed to find out) but I did have a bit of a chuckle at Tony Adam's Ultimate XI which appears to be himself with 9 of his Arsenal team mates plus David Beckham. https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/tvshow/10113749

"Not so mighty" they may well be, but I am quite optimistic as to how Liverpool's second-half will progress, now that Klopp has had a bit of time. I daresay United fans are not quite so hopeful (unless a managerial change occurs).

The Transfer Window can change everything, of course.

SOOOOO want BFS to go down, don't want him sacked before that as his lovers in the Press will say "he would have got it right eventually". His comments about Klopp just show his class.

Yeah, a troubling comment really. One of those ones that'll no doubt get laughed off by the hoi polloi, but is basically borderline casual racism.

Obviously I will cite my sig here, as I'm always doing such things on this forum, but as a public figure just casually using a nationality with a clear insult is pretty ignorant in every way.

An odd one as well really as it's not even as Germans are known for being "soft", if he'd had said "continental" maybe it would have made some sense at least.

Well quite. It's a bugbear of mine how people saying things like "soft [insert nationality]" always gets overlooked in a way that "soft [inset gender/***uality]" never would be.

But then again, I am sure I have referred to Furball as a bloodthirsty/frugal/unrefined/barbarian Scot on more than one occasion. So, yeah.

I see that on the 4th January Sky are giving the 1966 World Cup Final "the Monday Night Football" treatment. Only a bit of fun of course. But I still don't need to know for sure that the third goal didn't cross the line, the fourth shouldn't have stood because there were spectators all over the pitch, or to see us reliving this again when Germany have been in another six Finals since.
When I first read this post I was going to give my normal response at these things, that, nah it'll be ****ing funny because the Scotch will hate it.

Yet now I reckon why the **** not, in the end it's the last big anniversary of this, we've all had to up to here with the boring stories and all the stuff you've mentioned, yet now the next real anniversary will actually be irrelevant as most people involved will be dead,, and it's not exactly as if Sky show that much thrilling stuff on dead nights anyway. Also it means a night where they have to admit football existed before the Premiership:ph34r:

Mind you I'll be at work so I'll miss it anyway.

Yeah, it's basically been like a normal midweek round but with the midweek games on Monday instead of Tuesday/Wednesday (unless you're Sunderland and Liverpool). FA Cup isn't for another 8 days as well.
