I greatly await your argument for Ronchi being in the ATG side.

Nah, they'll bat again. Groundhog Day in Nelson.Hope SL field when they win the toss on Thursday.
Okay let's work it out. McCullum averaged 33.1 and struck at 101.24 as an opener, so a team of 11 Brendon McCullums would score 304-9.OK, let's work it out. Afridi averaged 23.57, so a team of 11 Shahid Afridis would score 259 all out on average.
A team of Bevans striking at 72 would score 216 runs before running out of overs, thereby losing by 43 runs.
A team of Bradmans would make 2-200.Okay let's work it out. McCullum averaged 33.1 and struck at 101.24 as an opener, so a team of 11 Brendon McCullums would score 304-9.
A team of Tendulkars striking at 88 would score 264 before running out of overs, thereby losing by 40 runs.
awtaScience confirms: McCullum > Tendulkar > Bradman

Hussey @ 6 to finish.A rare intelligent post by the recent standards of this thread. The immediate question is: was Bevan better than Mike Hussey?
Yeah Watson or Symonds not quite good enoughThat could be a legitimate strongest possible XI. Gilchrist and Baz would be mental. In the likely event one or both of them didn't come off you have Williamson, Ponting and then Bevan as a last line of defence to rescue everything. Then guys who can hit like Hussey.
I'd have another hitter at 7 though, probably Cairns or Anderson.
Can't decide which would be more fireworks, opening the batting with Gilchrist and McCullum or the bowling with Bond and Lee.
