Well it turns out that I posted this on the day that Nic Maddinson turned 13. Going to let you draw your own conclusions from that...

That was the year he made 150+ against me in a local grade game. Was pretty impressive.

Nope, he's 30 in May. I think he played a one dayer last summer but doesn't look like a Test batsman IMO. He's got a good average (around 50) but the problem is he plunders p*ssweak county attacks, which are just not up to international standard. In the pura cup, he belted 210 against the South Australians (who are absolute shockers, even though they have Rofe and Tait in their attack), but against the good teams he's done nothing. Not up to Test standard.

Of all the posts, this was the best.

Yeah, it was only 2nds and it's not a particularly high standard in the Shoalhaven, but I don't think it's a particularly shocking revelation considering he's on the verge of playing for Australia.
