40 years ago today Plymouth Argyle 4 Fulham 0. Bobby Moore was given such a roasting by Paul Mariner that he was substituted at half time. 24 hours earlier on Boxing Day a 2-2 draw at Bristol City. Strangely I can remember these matches as if they were yesterday, and with greater clarity than yesterday's match which apart from the goal I've forgotten already.

It surprised me in the early 90's on my first ever visit to discover it never was called Upton Park, that's just the name of where it is.

State of LVG's substitutions again. The bottling epidemic among referees continues, Willian allowed to very obviously handle in the box then Rooney gets away with an obvious red.

There already seems to be a push to label that a good performance but the truth is it was ****e. Chelsea are absolutely terrible. Schweinsteiger was walking past them all game and they just watched him like 'cbf'.
