"New Zealand selectors have communicated with us that BJ's very much in their plans for white ball cricket," Pamment said. "They see him as a batsman to bat at six or seven and obviously potentially keep wicket. And with the Twenty20 World Cup being on subcontinent soil, then potentially his glovework, with maybe three spinners in the team, would be an advantage to have there. And obviously with Luke Ronchi as well likely to be involved in that group, there's some options I guess."

Can anyone tell me what happened to Greg Hay? Being also from Nelson I had hoped he'd do alright, and for a while it seemed like he was on the verge of national selection with a high average and everything.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
He was the mythical solution to our batting problems at one stage, but proved the archetypal two-season wonder.

Really interesting to see Mike Bracewell open up for Otago today in Alex especially with two usual openers in the form of Hamish Rutherford and Neil Broom batting at three and four. I wonder if there has been a request for above for him to have an extended run as an opener during the one day comp.

Wagner is determined to bowl a short ball that puts a bruise on Phillips down there isn't he, even if it takes all day.

International Vice-Captain
Munro has been back to bowling 5th / 6th bowler workloads this season - in all formats. For me, that is almost more noteworthy than another 70 ball ton ....

Wellington.... won? I'm confused.
Edgar & Lance Dry's faith in Craig Cachopa paid off. They also have Scott Borthwick playing club cricket who would be another handy import to bring in.

Breakthrough innings for Phillips. If he dominates the Ford Trophy I wonder how far away he'd be from national selection.

Canterbury seem to have shifted the engine room up to the middle order - Ellis, Astle & Hira at 4,5,6. No McClure :(
