The drop in pitch in Melbourne really hasn't improved at all has it?

Hard to complain about a bit more grass being left on the Adelaide drop in pitch for the day night test when this is the alternative.

Jeez. I hate those these days. Someone at the technology end needs to think of a smart way to more accurately determine whether someone's been cleanly caught or not.

I'm not sure whether these things have changed or not since my youth either. I'm sure I remember as a kid that it didn't matter whether you got fingers underneath the ball or not - any part of that ball touches the ground then it wasn't out. Not sure if the onus has changed, or whether the commentators like to make a non-existent differentiation or not.

Anyway, probably won't matter too much given the match situation, but you never know when one of these will make a big difference and perhaps something better needs to be done.
