We need some pace - we don't have anyone operating in the consistent 145 to 155 region.
We'd all love that but unless Milne's fitness improves and the side can afford a bowler that may not bowl many overs, we're going to have to do without.

Anyway, patience was all that was required there. Will likely need the same to break the Mathews-Chandimal partnership and then after that, the rest are inexperienced or bowlers.

This is a nice ground but a terrible pitch. Maybe they need a different type of clay(?)
We're going to be screwed at the Basin against Aus with Baz's luck at the toss...

Aus win the toss, bowl us out for 150 then put on 400+ once it eases out... if we're going green, we need to go all in otherwise we're no hope against a team which has an attack capable of making use of the conditions.

I'd prefer bowlers who actually incite fear in to the opposition.

I know there's more to pace then running in hard (you can generate pace without it), I was merely annoyed out or bowlers who are literally all alike when it comes to speed and strengths.
The uniformity of our bowlers' pace hasn't stopped us from winning a boat load of tests in the last 3 years.

Two guns at the crease now match defining partnership ahead. Well done Santner forced a mistake through sheer miserliness.

Bowlers who are good incite fear in the opposition. I'd prefer bowlers who are good.

Our bowlers are not all alike at all

Hard to know who to bowl here. You want to put pressure on the new to the crease batsman yet also hold some ammunition back for the new ball.

Bowl around the same pace and heavily rely on sideways movement (seam or swing).

I don't mind having Bracewell taking the A/R spot, but we should not be picking Wagner.

With NZ having Bracewell now as a bowling A/R they can afford to bring in a player like Milne who they can bowl in short sharp bursts.

I reckon Milne might be ready in a year or two. One of the more exciting prospects about him in my eyes is that he actually has a bit of batting talent too. Wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a bit of an allrounder himself.
