Shakib has been the best ranked allrounder in the world for ages now. 4 years in Test cricket and 6 years in ODI cricket. Probably worth something?
True, but didn't have the competition Cairns did when he played.

If we have submitted our votes can we change them before they are counted?
I need to sleep, but if we are allowed to change I'd (sorry for being indecisive) like to change the following:

Vettori over Greig
Shakib over Cairns
Ashwin over Harris

Purely coincidental they are all spinners.

Clive Rice needs more love. Davidson's batting was not that good, but Rice was a genuinely rounded all-rounder. Most batsmen who faced him in the County Championships have said he was faster than Hadlee (though Hadlee was the better bowler of course). His batting was also very handy - he was a proper batsman...his batting was probably better than some of the 'great' bowling all-rounders

Rice and Procter were both exceptional all round talents. Both scored over 20,000 first-class runs, with Procter taking 1000+ wickets and rice taking 900+.

Botham vs Procter is brutal. I went for Procter, but Botham has an entire Test career littered with ATG performances behind him, while all Procter has are 7 Tests (3 fifties at 25 and 41 wickets at 15 in case anyone was unaware) and a career dominating English FC cricket.

Tough choice. Can make a compelling case for both.

dont mind the changes, would rather you just edit them into your original post tho, makes it a lot easier to count at the end

Procter is definitely the best bowling all rounder of all time imo. Same level as Imrand and Hadlee bowling wise, better batsman than any of the others.

I have great respect for Mike Procter's ability with both bat and ball. For example,

In 1971 Procter slammed 119 against Natal B, 129 against Transvaal B, 107 against Orange Free State, 174 against Eastern Transvaal, 106 against Griqualand West and 254 against Western Province in consecutive innings. In the process he became the third batsman after CB Fry and Don Bradman to score six back-to-back First-Class hundreds.

However, the fact remains, Procter has nothing like the 1981 Ashes in his CV.

Procter has scored a century and taken a hat trick in the same match twice, true he doesn't have the international accolades that botham has.

Procters highest score was 48, didn't manage a 50 in tests.
Yea my bad. The '3' is in the sixes column, not the fifties column :P

Average at 36 at FC level with 48 tons, HS of 254. He's definitely closer to genuine allrounder than bowling allrounder.
