I hate SA when they play like this e.g. the drawn Adelaide test was a fraud of the highest degree

Why cant they just play every ball on its merits rather than blocking everything

They are just taking the piss atm

Man cricingif don't have the gif of the ball where Amla almost got caught at bat-pad off Dhawan.

Dhawan's got a filthy action tho. Wonder if he gets reported by the umps after this innings.

Because they don't want to lose.

A lot of modern batsmen could learn a lot from this and the Adelaide draw.

Also, how did Bavuma look? Sounds like impressive returns considering how van Zyl did opening, and that Bavuma has never opened before.

I'd rather they do this than play the ball on it's merits and get it down to 16 off 18 balls and then block out the reamianing deliveries before the last ball when Steyn bops Shami over long on for six. That was infuriating. Not Adelaide.

Well they didn't report the guy he's bowling to.

Good against the quicks. Solid in defence. Nice timing. Edgey and prodding against the spinners but was generally sensible and hung in there.

Doesn't look like someone who would average 45+ in Tests, but didn't look out of depth.

BS

If SA had played balls on their merit, they would've won that test as Oz was down to 3 bowlers on a road

ABDV (comfortably the best batsman in the world btw) had a complete shocker and was praised for it

Something about test matches that makes me look at them on a per test basis rather than a series. As soon as we win an ODI series, I want to rest everybody and get in a second string side. Have never been able to look at a test match like that.
