**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

Right, people, remember these first impressions and understand it's a 50/50 call. No revisionist complaining thanks
That would be fair enough if the batsman actually wasn't walking off hey. Some people on CW being wrong doesn't really make it less worthy of a thing to complain about.

**** moment for cricket generally.

To those arguing that Lyon's walking off means that he should've been given out (one I'm sympathetic to btw), someone made the point that the third umpire can't see him walking off.

That's clearly the subtext isn't it. Just yet more dire ultra-macho australian 'team culture' from the worst generation
Yea I doubt Hayden would have tweeted that if it was an AFL player or a military veteran or some former world bobybuilding champion who was out there on the field instead. Actual fielding ability is irrelevant; you gotta be a real 'manly man' in order to wear the Baggy Green.

The system isn't perfect, but it wasn't at fault here.
Yes it was. The system (i.e. rules) doesn't make clear what is "conclusive" and what is not. Therefore you have dicks like Llong decide that despite the raw footage showing he hit it, he's going to interpret conclusive to mean he needs snicko and a hotspot mark where he must be 100% sure that it wasn't made by bat pad farting or something.

Give some guidance.

How liked is Steve Smith within the Australian team?

A number of times, when I see him on camera he looks like a pissed off teenager.

When he was asking one of the bowlers last night if they wanted to review, he looked like he was having a sulk.

Maybe the cameras are on him at inopportune moments or perhaps his face looks perpetually pissed off.

you have no idea
They were all so sad for him and trying to justify his talent, saying he can play he just makes these bad decisions once in a while. The poor kid, give him a break, cut him some slack, he'll come good soon.

He's 32 years old. You'd think they'd be talking about a 17 year old kid who has had a run of bad luck. It was hilarious.

Think that's just his face tbh.

Yeah that's the thing. People on here saying he might not be as good a fielder or whatever, but Hayden wasn't tweeting in reference to a bad piece of fielding he did or anything, the context was purely his job. Came across as a kind of what's this peasant doing fielding for mu country kind of thing.

Maybe I'm wrong and just being cynical, but that's how it came across to me.

Shaun Marsh debuted for Australia in 2008. I can't believe it.

He's also racked up 46 ODIs already, albeit with pretty decent overall numbers (Average of 39, SR of 77).

Don't forget that the reason why NZ got Mitch Marsh out was because he intimidated them and made them bowl well. He's actually too good.

So long as the massage therapist can provide photos of off shore fishing expeditions Haydos will be ok with it.

(getting capsized and having to swim home optional for bonus pts)
