**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

Seriously, so much about this game reminds me of Hobart. NZ imploding on day 1, picking up a couple of wickets before stumps, Australia imploding in the first session of day 2, rallying after lunch, and basically reducing it to a 2nd innings shoot-out. Really hoping for things to continue following the script...though I don't know if my heart could take another finish like the one 4 years ago.

Warne: "...the Australians having the rub of the green because of Nigel Llong's incompetence..."

Holy ****, Warne almost had me liking his commentary for a second.

Cricinfo suggesting that NZ went into a sulk over that decision. True to some extent? If so, takes the gloss of the beand a bit.

Wouldn't say they went into a sulk they were still very sharp in the field. But Southee bowled poorly and McCullum lost the plot with his bowling changes so there might have been some impact on their thinking.

In a weird way Perth reminded me of the Hobart because we were 1-0 down and lost the toss in conditions that massively rewarded winning the toss, and then Australia were all over us in the first period of the match. Then it massively switched around off the back of some bad shots by Australia's batsmen (e.g. Smith) and we were on top pressing for the win, though there were more ebbs and flows of course. Pity Perth would have required 8 days to get a result...

Nigel Llong a good chance to join Dick French & Ian Robinson in the hall of umpiring infamy for NZ v Australia series.

They've already had "Nathan Lyon gets lucky with the technology".
