**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

NZ lost the toss in the warm up game. LOL.

That's 5 lost tosses out of 6 games on tour so far. The only toss they won is also the only game they won. Coincidence?

So looking on the CA scorecard Southee is listed in the team but we've had Henry and now Wagner bowling who aren't listed. Kane is apparently captain with Baz at four, BJ five and Ronchi has the gloves.

What's actually the deal?

Yeah quite a bit of panning of KW's captaincy in the UAE one-dayers. Another restricted driving test for KW.

good chance here to give boult some meaningless overs to get his rhythm.

and neil wagner with a 2fer has probably already bowled himself into a recall haha.

Shame Hesson didn't use the vault to see how Test grade Wagner was looking against Sri Lanka A. Or else just didn't want to broadcast to the world that he'd cooled on Henry and Bracewell since the squad naming.

It was of course Cribb who got non-NZ access to the vault geoblocked, he said this week. Wagner can blame Cribbage.

Santner might be a chance to play in Adelaide if they leave aside potential pink ball antics and think how you often want 1.5-2 spinners in Adelaide. So afaics it's going to be four seamers plus Craig, or three seamers plus Craig and Santner.

Wonder if Wagner is bowling himself ahead of Henry here. I managed to miss quite a bit of Henry's bowling in Perth though I got the impression there were a couple of promising spells but generally a mixed bag.

I still believe Henry is a huge talent so it will be infuriating if he takes the Southee route to success through 2+ years of sub-mediocrity.

i reckon he might straw man, it's a tough ask to go from the shield to test cricket and succeed immediately. at least we're in a position where we don't have to play him like we were with southee, and he can step down a level.

i wonder if odi bowling (which he's quite good at) plus his third seamer role change are affecting him?

i can't see henry not clicking with a loud clunk one day. he's got everything except extreme pace and he's no dibbly dobbly on the speed gun.
