It was actually vic_orthdox who first raised it almost a year ago...and I'm claiming to be the second man on the scene.

Funnily enough I do the "opening my eyes wide all the time and feel like I'm not *quite* seeing the ball properly* thing too, and noticed a subtle, hard to explain change in my vision about a decade ago...I think Ross Taylor may have just diagnosed my problem

Yeah it's not the pitches' fault he's gone from bowling 155 to 135

In fairness, reading closer that bit of the article is Lalor pontificating/speculating a bit. But it's no real surprise to anyone who watched his bowling or his body language that he's on the precipice.

On the one hand Guptill's best chance at success is undoubtedly to see ball hit ball in tests - even though it won't work as the bowlers in tests are better than those in ODIs, at least his attacking shots might put them off their lengths.

OTOH his 20 (60) has been pretty consistent and valuable in shielding KW from the new ball.

On the third hand, someone able to punish bowlers for bowling leg side balls would be nice for the Latham partnership and is kinda the while point of the LH RH partnership.

Yeah, I'm gonna go full ****** and blame Latham's 30-60 scores on Guptill too. Suck it Flem.

Amazing some of the things that get picked up on here, let's hope the floodgates open for Ross with clear eyes.
