I'll give the bowlers a break when they stop bowling pus. Yes the pitch is flat, but serving up a couple leg stump half volleys an over ain't gonna get you 10 wickets anywhere.
The definition of "leg stump half volley" when bowling to smith on a flat one consists of above 30% of the pitch

Maybe, but the same can't be said for Voges, and yet Bracewell and Southee kept hammering away at his pads like it was planned or something. And then there's the matter of Boult looking like a club bowler.

It is pus, you're right. Hopefully they pull their fingers out post-Tea - still 2 quick ones away from really being in the ascendancy.

"Martin Craig" is the straw that broke the camel's back as far as the commentary in this series goes for me. On to mute you go.

1) I agree with all of Baz's field settings for once. Let's dry up these runs.
2) If we lose after posting 600 in our first inning I will rent the clothes from my body. Happy with a draw from here.
3) At least we got Warner or they would be on 180 already. When he went I really thought game on. Haven't had a sniff since then. Flat track.
4) Bracewell bowling like a Trojan. Really deserves a wicket.

First song that came up on shuffle was this:

In a weird way it's a more eloquent analysis of the match than any of the comms have managed for the whole four days.

****in channel 9, now I have to watch this in HD for a whole half hour.

I want to puke.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
One of these days I long for the commentators to simply state "We say goodbye to our Queensland viewers - forever"

PEWS has Lynn Anderson on his playlist?
Just that one song. My friend tried to quote her as a 'philosopher' in a uni paper with the lyrics to that song and he pretty much got away with it. Thinking about that whole saga always cheers me up so it's a good song to have in my playlist for times like this when I just hit shuffle.

As someone used to the Sky Sports coverage, and thus something of an outsider to Australian commentary, Australian commentary is ****ing brutal.

Like, awful.

bowlers aren't robots. When you're getting relentlessly driven on the up literally everywhere you usually try to bowl it does get to you.
