I think people need to stop pointing to Australia as one of the ultimate overseas tests of a batsman. England, yeah. SA, yes. Australia though has had the flattest pitches in the world in the last decade or so. People will still point to the SSC and UAE as examples of pitches killing test cricket instead of Australia though. Such hypocrisy.
Different kind of wickets though, tbf. Australian wickets have more pace in them and therefore tend to reward better cricket. Generally there's been less draws in Australia too.

Typically because Australia tends to still be able to bowl people out on them.

Yeah they make for great wickets when the quicks are high quality. But if teams with mediocre attacks like India and SL played against each other in Australia it'd be a snooze fest.

they usually make up for it with the quality of bowling tbf (as do current pakistan and home sri lanka)

Because I was just posting on a Cricket forum not writing a ****ing masterpiece. The 3 bats I named (not listed) were the 3 RH bats who I think have dominated Australia at home this century.
Yeah but its weird to put Vaughan in the middle
