Nz need to just cool it a bit here. New ball in a few overs, these two have to be there for it.

Will probably collapse, but would love it if NZ went past Australia's total and Australia lost. The declaration isn't going to look stupid as it was 9 down, but the way Australia batted was. It's 5 days and Australia batted just over a quarter of the match.

And they gave CRAIG wickets. I don't think anyone enjoyed the way they batted with the lower order.

I'll be surprised if any grass grows in the covers region after the game, he must have scored at least half his runs there.

IIRC Vaughan made big in Australia before Virat
Yeah you've done well to remember that correctly seeing as though Kohli was just last year. Not sure why you'd think I was naming the 3 bats in order of when we've seen them..

I actually don't begrudge Craig those declaration wickets. He bowled really well after lunch on day 1, before getting shafted by Watling and the umpire. 3/120 felt about right.

Amazing from Williamson. In recent years in Australia we've seen Kohli, Vaughan and Amla have excellent series where they never looked like getting out, I feel as though Williamson is surpassing them all this series.
Kane is officially in his pomp.

I think the lower order approach was fair enough - it's the sort of situation that I feel there was more value hitting than batting normally. Still probably too aggressive though.....

Middle order batting had more question marks IMO.

Australian lower order starts at 5 now btw.

Why wouldn't you?
Because I was just posting on a Cricket forum not writing a ****ing masterpiece. The 3 bats I named (not listed) were the 3 RH bats who I think have dominated Australia at home this century.

Tendulkar in 08, Amla a few years ago too.

I think people need to stop pointing to Australia as one of the ultimate overseas tests of a batsman. England, yeah. SA, yes. Australia though has had the flattest pitches in the world in the last decade or so. People will still point to the SSC and UAE as examples of pitches killing test cricket instead of Australia though. Such hypocrisy.
