Haha, I remember the Indians refusing to use DRS then Hussey got out given out dubiously, and Australia just about broke the Internet. Biggest dummy spit of all time.

Personally, I back the Indians. Some of the DRS ball tracking is bizarre; upward trajectories suddenly flattening out inexplicably and so on. All of it is used to back myopic numpties like Llong. If someone is wearing glasses they have an issue with their eyesight, and his hearing seems to be shot as well.
Yeah, gravity is a mysterious, mysterious thing we don't understand at all. We have no idea how absolutely no idea how objects behave when they're assumed to follow a free trajectory.

P.S. I don't remember that Hussey incident at all. And nor, I suspect, does anyone else here.

technically it's smashing into the top of middle and the margin of error babbled on about so much because tradition.
Less tradition and more not wanting DRS to be an absolutely drastic change to how umpires adjudicated LBWs

Yeah, but at the same NZ are getting well and truly ripped off here, just let him vent.
Tbf it does smack of lemon sucking when you decide to complain about a decision making process the day 'your' team is on the receiving end of a couple. NZ getting utterly outplayed in this series if we're honest & questioning the odd unlucky decision is clutching at straws.

It doesn't work, sorry mate. The Indians know it. They don't trust the technology here in Australia and they have a good case. The technology is currently being used to berate and lampoon McCullum when it should be used to get correct decisions.
In league you don't have captains doing 2 reviews and trying to judge if a ball has been grounded or not. It is taken out of the players hands and the system is used to get correct decisions.
I'm happy with rugby and league use of technology. At least the technology is correctly taken out of the players hands and given to video refs, and is not used to vindicate crap refereeing.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Our bowling performances (I'm thinking of the quicks) has gone rapidly downhill since Bond departed as the bowling coach. Are our bowlers really that ****ing forgetful in how to bowl well? JFC

Just move the "lines" demarcating umpire's call to the actual outside border of the stumps rather than the middle of the stumps/bails. That'd eliminate these "hitting leg stump/the bails really, really hard but still umpire's call" decisions which cause the most angst, but keep the "barely shaving the stumps" calls which no one thinks should be overturned, but can't rightly be given not out either.
That's exactly what I mean by "reduce the margins"

Yeah, and frustration is magnified too obviously by the fact that Watling dropped a sitter (though that probably would've been given not out too with the mood the umps are in).
