I'm still not confident that Ross is comfortable at all out there but I am relatively confident that he is capable of whacking a few. In this situation I'm not sure whether that actually counts as confidence.
With Rogers gone though, there isn't much choice. Smith/Warner can't field there as they're more important elsewhere, which leaves Burns/Usman/Voges. As Gnske pointed out earlier, last time Usman fielded there he was just as useless, and against the quicks, Voges is in the slips.Yeah they do. I think it's kind of stupid. I guess Asian sides are less likely to do that because they specialise more in putting men around the bat when playing at home or whatever.
Burns is completely horrible thereI know fielding at short leg sucks but I think it's really unprofessional to just put the biggest newbie in there instead of the guy who's actually best for the job.
I feel like Taylor is at a stage in his career that he is good enough to churn out runs even when he is woefully out of form. I cant really remember a kiwi being able to do that before so its kinda nice.I'm still not confident that Ross is comfortable at all out there but I am relatively confident that he is capable of whacking a few. #SlowerThanAkhtarThat last ball, at 146kph, was his fastest of the match
i wonder if he's just gotten even worse than he already was at getting started?I know it's been talked about a lot on this forum but it's really something how seemingly everyone in the world "knows" that Ross Taylor has been out of sorts for the last 12 months, yet in that time he's had one of the most productive years of ODI cricket in NZ history and just had a fairly innocuous run of average form over a very small number of tests.
oh he still cant play fast bowling huh
