Watling must be so pissed off at his top order. Starc really bowling well here. Don't envy him at all.

Latham really had no business getting out that way.
Yeah. He was set and it was a weird soft dismissal. Has to wear some blame. The spuds batting 4/5/6 wear a fair share though.

Is there a reason why the wags must always be panned to? (Star Sports being the most guilty party with Kohli)
Good point and I know you mean it is a rhetorical question but will make a light hearted answer:

Only reason I can think of is that it gives a partial excuse to show chicks in the crowd. Back in the 1980s our NZ TV producers used to be randy old men who would zoom in on anything half good looking in a skirt at least once every three overs. The cameramen were instructed to keep an eye out for bitty's in the crowd.

Yeah we're much better off now. The 90s saw cameras not sparing even the salwar kurti clad Sharjah women.

HAha,

It actually reached comical proportions because all the ladies and women's libbers complained so the response was to even things up by showing good looking guys in the crowd. The problem was guys have no idea what a good looking guy actually is and secondly it was he 1980s so the guys they picked were all cashmere jersey wearing yuppies dangling bmw key chains.

That's rough. The women get to look at 22 usually good looking men 99% of the test and we're denied of a few pervy moments here and there. Where's the justice??

Amazing the difference in composure between Latham/Williamson/Watling who all build their techniques on a solid base of leaving, playing late and a compact defense, and Taylor/McCullum/Neesham, none of whom had confidence in the latter and it showed.

The game felt peaceful and Australia knew they had to earn their wickets through patience when Latham and Williamson were together, and it feels like that again now. The in between times were completely frantic.
