**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

Not sure on the Gabba. Yeah it might help the quicks if it's overcast but otherwise it's pretty much just a rock hard typical Aussie wicket isn't it? There's a reason Aus literally never lose there. The G has had a couple of wickets that have seamed a bit over the last few years, without the same level of pace and bounce.

Other than Hobart, the Gabba would be the ground most suited to them in Aus.
and there's no better ground in the world to bowl for left armers than the waca, boult should do well.

would think guys like guptill and mccullum will enjoy batting on these pitches with the ball coming on

can't blame then venues, New Zealand have just bowled poorly and Australia batted very well

They can shove this declare talk where the sun don't shine. Smith to bat till 5 then stick them in.

Especially because the over rate is slow. No hurry to declare before tea I reckon. Half hour after tea still gives you 30 overs before stumps. More than enough time to give the openers and 1st change and spell and then hit em again with your best two quicks before stumps.

(nice thump Uzi btw)

Mark Craig is a rubbish test cricketer
I am probably doing him an injustice as I have only seen him play here and in England but he barely looks fc standard

The Australians have obviously gone after him but he hasn't helped himself by being incredibly inaccurate for a finger spinner

Yeah they can fix dislocations and that's about it.

I'm exaggerating. I've met a few good physios, but mostly hundreds and hundreds of useless ones. I think what they can actually do is vastly exaggerated.
I'd imagine they can definitely help a back.

Nah you guys are perfectly justified in not rating Craig as test standard. He can be useful in the right conditions and is handy as a slip catcher and pinch hitter though.

The problem is Bracewell and Boult also haven't been up to standard and now Southee is unlikely to play the rest of the series.

He has a 7 wicket haul in UAE. Bowled decently.

I wouldn't say he is a rubbish test cricketer, but he has certainly bowled rubbish in this test match.

I'm staggered anyone could meet hundreds of them.

not really. I've never heard of a physio actually fixing a real back injury. Sometimes they'll click it, which makes you feel better temporarily. Or give you a massage or some ultrasound, which again just makes you feel better. But if you have an actual injury? nah, I don't think there's anything they can do.

Mark Nicholas on Boult's wicket:

"exactly the sort of ball Mitchell Starc likes to bowl and Mitchell Johnson tries to bowl"

lol'd

Williamson actually looked a better bowler yesterday. I'd almost pick an extra batsman instead of Craig. I can't see a guy like Henry adding much that Southee, Boult, Bracewell, Neesham aren't already offering.
Sounds like you'd definitely be calling for Santner if you knew who he was, tbh.
