*Official* English Football Season 2015-16

Surely Depay in for Rooney is an absolute must for United?
I don't think its possible to justify starting Rooney up front at this stage of his career especially when you got an absolute gun on Martial played out wide to accommodate him. However LVG for some reason still is unsure where to play Martial.

Manchester United manager Van Gaal doesn't know Martial's best position - Manchester Evening News

Very strange at 30 which isn't exactly old, that Rooney looks an absolute shadow of himself, when he should be close to his peak.

30 is beyond peak age for the average striker (it's more like 24-28) and he obviously started a lot younger than most. His age curve was probably just a bit earlier than the average player. Fabregas is probably similar.

Barnet, **** me, this sporting day has been ****, apart from Chelsea of course who are brightening up everyone's day/week/year/life.

Is Quique Flores more hipster of a manager then Klopp, who is clearly too mainstream nowadays. Alfredo Di Stefano was his godfather, this swings it for me.

**** sake, anyone see how bad Andy Carroll was?

Doesn't matter he'll score a decent header in a game in about three months and everyone will say he's great and deserves to play for England because he gives us sonething "different".

His headers are hilariously good tbf.

Great couple of days of football. QPR are amazing really, so impressive how they have managed to spend all that money over the last few years and end up with a team quite that bad. Bees are still miles away from playing the sort of football they did last year, but then again last year they never looked like keeping 3 clean sheets in a row either. Plenty of players to come back still as well, I don't really think this run will last but play-offs are now an awful lot more likely than relegation and that was pretty much unthinkable a few weeks back.

Yeah I said on twitter last week, he and Fellaini are ridiculous in the air. They don't really have anything else about their game which is good Premier League level and they still manage to be effective because of it.

Fellaini's chest is much better than his head. It's like a basket, it kind of lets you teleport the ball to anywhere on the pitch. I'm not sure we've been exploiting it as well as we could this season.

Depay has arguably been even worse than Rooney, so I can see why that hasn't been done. Depay so far has that thing Gervinho had at Arsenal where he has enough skill and pace to regularly get into positions where he can demonstrate his total lack of composure and shocking decision making.

After watching Loopy replace everyone but him today there must be a clause in his contract about dropping/replacing. The only possible alternative is Loopy is going to play him no matter what to prove how he isn't up to PL level and how ridiculous his contract is. Just wishful thinking on my part I suspect.

How is Woods going now?

The bonus of Chelsea being such a shambles at the back is that it's also creating (possibly) unfounded optimism amongst Liverpool fans about their prospects this season.

Had very low expectations for todays Super Sunday but the opening half hour of Everton v Sunderland has been great as neither side know how to defend. Not often I will feel sorry for Sunderland but to hit the post twice and be behind is incredibly harsh on them.
