DanMania XI: Round Two
1. Cameron Bancroft
2. Ryan Carters
3. Tom Cooper
4. Nathan Reardon
5. Moises Henriques
6. Matthew Wade
7. James Hopes
8. Cameron Boyce/Xavier Doherty

12. Steven Smith
13. Xavier Doherty/Cameron Boyce
14. Michael Hogan

Smitteh retires unbeaten on 200-and-something points; well worth it when the alternative picks were almost exclusively blokes who didn't play this round anyway.
Carters back in as the Test bois go away, hoping to back up his double ton.
Can Do Sandhu also gets himself a gig, following his few days off at Blacktown.
Michael Hogan also drops out of the XI after WA inexplicably refuse to pick him after making him take a week off work. Ungrateful Langer-coached bastards.

Can someone remind me what the points system is for the bowling? Defines whether I pick wicketless-and-bowling-economical-****e Doherty or wicketless-and-bowling-leaky-****e Boyce.

This is difficult to work out the teams. Round 13 or 14 picks are definitely not included. In the Group B thread I specifically said you must name your Xi before the toss in the first game, in this thread looking back I mentioned more that the round has to be finished before the toss.

Can someone help me with each team?

These seem right.

Edit: Riggins has selected Mackin as 14th man.
Red Hill picked 15, but his 14th was Moody.
I don't get Dean (****) or Wildermuth as subs for my depleted lineup.
PEWS picked his 11.
Cabinet doesn't get his late subs either.
Marcuss gets 12th man Hartley subbed in for Finch.

A competitive round sees Riggins out in front. He needed to be in front given his selection of Starc and Warner and now Burns and Khawaja are with the Test team. Red Hill is in second place thanks largely to strong performances from Klinger and Hastings. Loose Cannon is in last place, unfortunately missing out on Dean's 273 points.

Please add your individual scores and kindly let me know if I have made an error in calculations. Also don't forget to update your XI before the toss of the next game or you'll just get the same XI as week 1.

Gnske team was on fire with 4 of his top 6 taking wickets and the other two scoring over 100 runs, imagine if he had of named Henry too. Despite only having 9 available players, Morgie is a clear second, he would have loved the Klinger and Agar partnership. Handscomb and Hastings performed superbly too.

Do you think these two threads should go into the fantasy sub forum or is it fine in Cricket Chat? I kind of want to add another thread instead of having to write everything twice.

How do you think the point scoring went? I'm happy with how the average under 20 (min. 6 overs) for 10 points and the economy over 4 (min. 6 overs, bowl ave above 30) for -10 points went.

Hazlewood, Hastings, MMarsh, Mackin, and Behrendorff got the +10 in both innings. while 8 different bowlers lost -10 points. My initial thoughts are that 25 points for a wicket is slightly too high (maybe should have went with 20 for 1st wicket, 21 for second, 22 for third etc) but it just feels it is easier for bowlers to get that 80 to 120 points, but hey a batsman did get the highest score in all 3 games..

If Ashton Turner and Peter Forrest come into their state teams it will be hard to work out who to leave out from that pair plus Doran or Cosgrove for me.

Now that all the squads are picked we should merge the threads. Less work for you, encourages more banter.

I like the points setup.

The bowlers overall points feel appropriately high given their importance in shield wins. A tweak in distribution may suggest itself over the next few rounds.

I think run outs should be worth more than 10 though, when 33-35 is handed out for other dismissals. Maybe 20 for the fielder, with 10 and 5 for each bowler if their econ. rates suggest pressure built. Hmm, guess you can't read bowlers off the scorecard, too bad

My team's getting pummeled, but I'm confident my batsmen will claw me be into it.
With Lehmann getting his Qld boys as I expected, my top order looks strong: Bancroft, Dean, Stoinis, SMarsh, Patterson, Carters with Silk to surely squeeze back in soon. Wickets are my only concern.

PEWS and Marcuss' squads look strong, think they're the teams to beat.

I think you've done a brilliant job with everything Nufers, you don't need to change anything.

Not surprised that I finished dead last in R1, to be fair I can't really see my team doing any better next round.

Congrats Gnske on topping the points table after R1!

Yeah I agree, I thought that's why you only created one breakaway thread rather than two when you did it like that. I'll merge them if you like.
