He has a history of slow starts, so I think LVG is praying that he will come good soon. He played ok against Everton, but it was a rare good performance this season. That hat trick against a very poor Brugge side has saved him from a lot of criticism. The media from what I seen haven't been to harsh on him over the last year or so, heck Gareth Crooks said this the other day:laugh::laugh:
Garth Crooks is a moron. He was calling for James Morrison to be part of Hodgson's World Cup plans a couple of years ago.

Your post stated you thought Crooks could be onto something and you'd heard the MoTD/Sky folks say similar. I state that all it takes is watching Rooney play to show its totally wrong. So either your post does question/debate the point, or you ventured the viewpoint whilst also supporting the complete opposite.

How can you post something that supports a viewpoint, then say you don't question the counterargument?
The post ended with word's: "Just not sure how plausible it is" - which meant at the end of it all while I thought maybe the pundits who suggested the possible theory could be onto something - I also was skeptical for reasons you articulated.

So if you in your football fan analyst mind is 100% confident right now that the theory is totally wrong that's fine.

Yeah, goddamn you cpr, and your football fan analyst mind. Leave commenting on these matters to the pros. When was the last time you even posted a link to an article ffs?

Been hearing that LVG is not happy with Depays attitude and that's partly behind his dropping recently. That still doesn't excuse moving our best striker to the left to accommodate Rooney.

I have been wondering if the pace he has lost over the years is the issue. Other than the shocking first touch you get half the time. There are strikers who transition their game but I don't think he knows how.

Yeah that tends to happen to ****s who don't look after themselves and smoke like chimneys. Rooney's guaranteed to do a Hartson and balloon when he retires the fat ****.
